OUR JOURNEY THROUGH TIME
Von bescheidenen Anfängen bis hin zu unserem Natur.Genuss.Hotel, das sich tief in der Region verwurzelt fühlt, ist unsere Geschichte ein Zeugnis für Leidenschaft, Beständigkeit und den Glauben an die kleinen, aber bedeutsamen Dinge des Lebens. Seither begleitet uns die Vision, ein Ort der Wärme, Gastfreundschaft und des echten Genusses zu sein.
1963 – THE BEGINNING
Our guesthouse becomes a hotel – the Sporthotel Domig***superior. With the addition of an à la carte kitchen, we take a further step on the way to today’s Natur.Genuss.Hotel.
1974 – THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE DREAM
The shell of our current hotel is built in 1973. With a great deal of commitment and a clear vision in mind, the dream of having our own hotel becomes a reality. Our doors open for the first time in 1974 as Pension Garni. A milestone that marked the beginning of a new era and paved the way for future developments.
1976 – VOM GASTHAUS ZUM HOTEL
Aus unserer Pension wird ein Hotel – das Sporthotel Domig***superior. Mit der Erweiterung um eine à-la-carte-Küche setzen wir einen weiteren Schritt auf dem Weg zum heutigen Natur.Genuss.Hotel.
1985 – VERGRÖSSERUNG DER FERIENALM
Die Ferienalm oberhalb des Hotels wird umgebaut und in zwei Haushälften geteilt, um mehr Raum für Gäste zu schaffen und den wachsenden Anforderungen gerecht zu werden.
1998 – MODERNISATION AND EXPANSION
Our hotel is enlarged by six double rooms and 30 additional seats in the restaurant in order to meet the increased demands of our guests.

At Sonnasita, your dogs are always welcome. Bring your four-legged companion along for the holiday. We offer special room categories, soon-to-come dog suites, and all the comfort you could wish for. From a dedicated dining area in our restaurant to dog-friendly hiking trails starting right from the hotel, Sonnasita is your perfect dog hotel in Austria.
